Geography
Year 3 and 4 have been developing their geography and map-reading skills by exploring the seven continents of the world.
We have been using atlases to locate, identify and label each continent, learning where they are in relation to one another and becoming more confident using maps and atlases independently.
Science
Year 3 and 4 have been learning all about plants, their different parts and the important functions they carry out.
To put our learning into practice, we have planted poppy seeds and set up our own investigation to discover what plants need to grow and stay healthy. Three of our pots have been given everything they need, while in the other pots we have removed one important requirement, such as water, light or soil.
Over the next few weeks, we will observe our plants carefully and compare their growth to see what happens. We can’t wait to see the results!
