Mental Health and Wellbeing Statement
Killingholme Primary School recognises the importance of the emotional health and wellbeing of all of our students, staff and parents. As such, we actively strive to promote positive emotional health and wellbeing throughout the school, via our deeply rooted nurturing ethos and our school aims which stipulate,
‘All staff, children and parents feel valued and respected, safe and secure...’
We promote a safe and open culture where all stakeholders can talk about their feelings and experiences in a,
‘calm and caring atmosphere’
We understand that at times, students, staff and parents may experience issues affecting their emotional health such as: anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement and loss, eating disorders and self harm.
Our committed staff community includes three trained Mental Health Champions: Mrs Eaton, Mrs French and Miss Eaton, who have access to a wide range of support groups which may be able to support anyone experiencing mental health problems. If you are concerned about your child’s or your mental wellbeing, then please contact the school on 01469540232 and ask to speak to one of the designated staff.
