Harvest Festival 

Year Two loved making scarecrows and learning all about the Harvest Festival this week. We enjoyed getting letting our creativity flow and learning all about why farmers use scarecrows. I hope the scarecrows have made their way home for you to enjoy! 

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

This week, we have been looking closely at the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. The children have loved acting out the story, using different voices and defeating the villain. The children have been using their knowledge of adjectives and created word banks ready to help when they write their setting descriptions. 

We have loved learning all about living things and their habitats. Year Two have been super scientists, exploring the essential components of a suitable habitat. They then deisnged and made their own habitat dioramas to show their understanding. They are amazing! The children made habitats for monkeys, owls or seals.
