Welcome to Class Three
Welcome to our class page! Miss Spicksley and Miss Cherry are looking forward to seeing all the children and we cannot wait to hear all about your summer holidays!
Our Learning
We are really looking forward to getting stuck into our learning this term.
In Maths, we will be exploring the place value of numbers to 100 and beyond and strengthened our skills in using strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems.
In English, we will be consolidating our phase 5 phonics skills and developing our fluency when reading longer words. We will be reading a range of texts together, and looking at closely at the structure of sentences, in order to identify nouns, verbs and adjectives.
In Geography, we will be exploring different weather forms, and in History we will be learning all about Bonfire night and the Great Fire of London! We will be writing our own diaries inspired by Samuel Pepys.
In Science, we will be looking at local habitats, and in Art we will be studying the work of Claude Monet. In RE, we will be learning about how Muslims live their daily life according to the Quran. In Design technology, we will be designing a coat of many colours, linked to the bible story of Joseph.
In PE we will be developing our ball skills and looking at gymnastic and dance skills. We will of course be underpinning the whole term with our work in PSHE on relationships and valuing difference.
Please keep checking the tabs below to see our wonderful work in Class 3. We will be updating the photos regularly to show off our talents!
