Welcome to our class page! Mr Jensen, Mrs Dinsdale and Mrs Black are looking forward to seeing all the children and we cannot wait to hear all about your summer holidays!
Our Learning
We are really looking forward to getting stuck into our learning this term.
In Maths, we will be exploring multiplication and divison further as well as investigating fractions. We will also be learning about permieter, mass and capacity as part of strenghening skills in using and intepreting measures.
In English, we will be writing a character description based on a Viking warrior. We will also be using 'The Night Gardener' as inspiration to write a newspaper report about mysterious events that are happening.
In Geography, we will be learning about the continent of North America.
In History, we will be looking at the Vikings and exploring their place in history.
In Science, we will be exploring light and shadow.
In Art, we will be focusing on the artist Margaret Preston, studying her printing techniques to create our own printed creations.
In DT, we will aim to finish the sewing unit we started last term, creating a slipper.
In PSHE, we will be focusing on pupils' keeping themselves safe.

Homework
Reading books should be brought into school every day.
Homework is set every Friday and should be completed by the following Thursday.
Homework tasks consist of:
- Spellings – to be practised for the following Friday’s test.
- Key number facts – number bonds or times tables.
- Grammar tasks
- Reading comprehensions
- Mathematical fluency and/or problem solving
PE Days
Class 4 have PE every Monday and Tuesday. Children must be wearing the appropriate kit to participate. Earrings must be removed or covered and long hair must be tied back.
PE kit:
- Plain navy t-shirt
- Black shorts
- Black plimsolls
- Trainers (if outside)
- Black/navy tracksuit (if outside)
On PE days, children should attend school in their PE kit.
