Scientist/Astronaut Rocket Building Day
On Tuesday 15th November Stuart, a STEM Ambassador came to visit Class 2!
We have been thinking about the moon in class whilst reading Sidney, Stella and the Moon. In our book the moon goes missing and Sidney decides to replace the moon with cheese. Stella uses a skipping rope to ping the moon back into the sky however Class 2 decided there was a better way...ROCKETS!
We experimented with different types of rockets and even made our own paper rockets. The paper rockets were powered by our air puffed through a straw.
Some of us dressed up as astronauts and scientists for our special WOW day learning more about rockets, the planets and star constellations!
