Up Up and Away (Rocket Building, Science)

Our Space Learning
Up up and away! During this term, our topic learning is all about space. We have been doing lots of fun and great learning about Neil Armstrong... Did you know, he was the first man to step on the moon? We studied the rocket that Neil Armstrong travelled in to get to the moon and we decided to create our own! We discussed the importance of gravity and what this means. We discovered that in order for our rockets to shoot up high, we needed to create force. To create force, we used a lolly pop stick with an attached elastic band. We then attached a paper clip to our straw rocket, pulled back and... LIFT OFF! We had an amazing day creating our rockets, and we hope that you enjoy viewing some of our pictures from the day!
